Trio Jazz that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Join me and the Kendrik McKinney Trio at OKC’s Round Midnight as we celebrate one of the greatest musical collaborations of the 20th century. The record “Very Tall” is a masterpiece of mid-20th century straight ahead jazz. The auspicious meeting of vibraphone virtuoso Milt Jackson and the explosive Oscar Peterson on piano is one of a kind. It is made only more special by the bolstering of the inimitable rhythm section of Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen. It is, has been, and always will be one of my desert island records.
Come help me celebrate my first semester as Coordinator of Jazz Studies at TU, as I present “States of Mind” for the Concerts with Commentary faculty performance series.

“Oblation” is the culmination of 6 months worth of recording and production. it’s the 3rd record for my Collective. We’re excited to release it at a private residence in Mount Washington in LA.

The Next Step returns to the Blue Note Lounge in OKC. This time electrified with Mitch Bell on guitar, Aaron Spiers on electric bass and David Bowen on drums.
The midwest has a vibe and a soul that is undeniable, and it’s flowing through my artistry like the cool water of an Ozarkan stream. Can’t wait to see how it manifests at The Music Depot in Rogers AR. It’s not the first performance I’ve done in Northwest Arkansas and I hope it won’t be the last. Mitch Bell gtr, Edwin Garcia bass, Dave Bowen drums.
I hope you’ll join me and the guys at the Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa Ok as we play the opening set of the TEG International Jazz Festival.
Alvas Showroom in San Pedro is designed to spoil musicians. Pulling double duty as a dance studio, this attractive, modern, and intimate performance space has played host to some of the greatest musicians from around the country, indeed, the globe. It’s been a long time since I headlined there, and it’s one of the first LA area venues as which I played under my own name, so it’s befitting that it should be the venue at which I close out the tour. Josh Nelson piano, Jake Leckie bass, Kevin van den Elzen drums.
I’m so fortunate to boast so many venue debuts this spring/summer. Topping the list is Libretto in Paso Robles CA. Josh Nelson piano, Jake Leckie bass, Kevin van den Elzen drums.
There’s a house in the Mount Washington/Glassell Park region of LA that plays host to some of the best jazz concerts in LA. It’s a beautiful home with a fantastic sounding room, designed purely for listening. It’s a delight for the musicians to play. Josh Nelson piano, Jake Leckie bass, Kevin van den Elzen drums.
To preserve the privacy of the homeowner, you’ll receive the address when you pay for the tickets.
I take to the stage at The Merc once again. This time with a different iteration of The next Step with Josh Nelson on piano, Jake Leckie on bass, and Kevin van den Elzen on drums.
St. Monica’s School is a really wonderful institution. I’m honored to provide the entertainment for this event.
When an artist like Vardan Ovsepian asks you to join him, you don’t take it lightly. I’ve been so fortunate to call him a friend and colleague, can’t wait to join him, Karl Mcomas-Reichl, and Mark Ferber for this performance.
I would play in a dumpster with these guys, so the idea of debuting at a new venue makes me giddy. If you anywhere near Edmond OK (north of OKC) on Friday 05/10, then you should treat yourself to a show in this very cool space. Mitch Bell guitar, Edwin Garcia bass, Dave Bowen drums.
